Whew, my first post here!
The past month has seen an unequivocal amount of success for us here at the Pirate Party of Canada, and the first thing the PPoC team would like to say… is “THANK YOU”.
As you may have known, online membership has officially surpassed the 1000-member mark and Canadian (and international media) have taken notice, especially with the launch of CaPT. We are all very excited about what that means for our future. You, the average Canadian, have taken notice, and I’ve been watching the messages of congratulations trickle in on Twitter. Thank you, thank you, and THANK YOU for all the kindness and interest you have shown us since June, and I hope you stick around (or better yet, get involved!) so that we can really start to send our message to Parliament Hill. If you can vote in Canada, the most important way you can support us is by joining, then filling out the Elections Canada party registration form and mailing it to Stephane. We are still in need of those forms. We need a BARE MINIMUM of 250 to send off, but with strict form guidelines, we will need to send at least 300 unique, individual, hand-signed forms to Elections Canada with our registration request. Please, do us a favour, and join us in the fight!
Now, the rest. If you know your Canada Elections Act by memory (I’d be impressed if you did!), you know that we need a few more things: An official agent (Our non-profit corporation application has been officially submitted!), an auditor, an office, but most importantly, a leader. We have finally finished a voting system which we will start to use by issuing a key vote in the near future. Sometime in the near future, we will hold elections for party officers and party leadership.
Thanks, once again!

Hmm.. I mailed my form to Rob Britton, both when I first joined, and a week or two ago. What is Stephane’s mailing address?
Rob should already have it, then. Stephane’s address is the one on the page I linked to.
I am so proud that you are creating this Pirate Party, its been years i’m following the copyright scene on the internet without seeing any real actions in Canada. Now you are the proof we are still alive and not completely overwhelmed yet. I am filling the form now. thanks again !
Congrats, I am proud of you guys. This is the start of a great grassroots and I want to be involved. With a little bit of hard work and dedication, we may be really able to make a noise in this vast country that I am proud to call home.
A leader…is Michael Geist a member yet?
Does he have to be?
I’d like to nominate professor Michael Geist!
Who will second?

You guys should come to Vancouver, UBC and SFU and hand out some free Pirate Party stickers. I’d be happy to plaster them all over! =)
