PRESS RELEASE, NEW PROVIDER FOR TPB

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, 3 MARCH 102, 평양 (PYONGYANG).

The Pirate Bay has been hunted in many countries around the world. Not for illegal activities but being persecuted for beliefs of freedom of information. Today, a new chapter is written in the history of the movement, as well as the history of the internets.

A week ago we could reveal that The Pirate Bay was accessed via Norway and Catalonya. The move was to ensure that these countries and regions will get attention to the issues at hand. Today we can reveal that we have been invited by the leader of the republic of Korea, to fight our battles from their network.

This is truly an ironic situation. We have been fighting for a free world, and our opponents are mostly huge corporations from the United States of America, a place where freedom and freedom of speech is said to be held high. At the same time, companies from that country is chasing a competitor from other countries, bribing police and lawmakers, threatening political parties and physically hunting people from our crew. And to our help comes a government famous in our part of the world for locking people up for their thoughts and forbidding access to information.

We believe that being offered our virtual asylum in Korea is a first step of this country's changing view of access to information. It's a country opening up and one thing is sure, they do not care about threats like others do. In that way, TPB and Korea might have a special bond. We will do our best to influence the Korean leaders to also let their own population use our service, and to make sure that we can help improve the situation in any way we can. When someone is reaching out to make things better, it's also ones duty to grab their hand.

As things are progressing, in 20 years, living in North Korea will be preferable to living in United States of MAFIAA.
#2. Gargravar - 03-04 18:55
This won't be appreciated by the organisations trying to hunt down the bay after their recent "easy wins"
#3. politux - 03-04 18:59
The Pirate Bay with nukes, love it!
#4. mwalsher - 03-04 19:00
Obviously they are just doing this as a shot against America. Like they say, the enemy of my enemy…
#5. ntnno1vn - 03-04 19:06
Yeah it's definitely North Korea's act to strike USA on any warfare they see. The ppl there aren't even allowed to use common web browsers let alone providing support for an entire tracker. This is ridiculous as seen from the rest of the world but the bay needs to stay alive though. I dont't think this is any good on long terms.
#6. grafefruitlimit - 03-04 19:23
Wasnt this an old arpils joke you pulled once before??
#7. BADiCOOL - 03-04 19:31

Freedoms in America? ... You ARE kidding right? I'm told what I can and cannot do with my own body, who I can and cannot marry, etc, and even limitation on information, and even what websites I can view. Freedom? ... Not in America. Long live the bay!

America let you think they fight for freedom but it is a fucking fake, the only reason they fight is money.
Their country is the worst: if you are rich you can do what you want, if you are poor you can die in the street no one care.
#15. H3r4tKMND - 03-04 20:12
If only the USA actually out their goddamn money where their mouth is and walked the walk of freedom, then TPB wouldn't be persecuted.

As it is, the GOP only cares about $$$ and pleasing their corporate overlords, so I don't see that happening anytime soon.
#16. politux - 03-04 21:16
"As it is, the GOP only cares about $$$ and pleasing their corporate overlords, so I don't see that happening anytime soon."

The democrats get billions from Hollywood and Chris Dodd is the president of the MPAA.

Both of the corporate parties oppose tpb.
#17. V8_Man - 03-04 21:27
I hear North Korea doesn't want war... at least that's what Kim Jong-un told Dennis Rodman, I guess you'll all have to read whatever you want into that but as far as N. Korea taking on TPB all I can say is thank you and I hope this is a step in the right direction.
#18. MAA11792 - 03-04 21:30
HERE COMES THE BOOM *cough* AMERICA FUCK YEAH
#19. patiodude - 03-04 21:31
North Korea doesn't exactly bring to mind images of freedom of information.
#20. newton8573 - 03-04 21:33
I wonder what North Korea will get out of this partnership.
Seems out of character for North Korea.

So what can be so juicy that make them want to leave their belief behind and become another hypocrite?

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Damn this is like in the old days when christians hunted witches (women knowing medicine) and other "evil".

Come to think of it they haven't stopped doing that.
Still fighting gays, sex education (freedom of sex) and science (evolution).

Politics was so much simpler back then. If i guy made trouble and didn't want to play nice, you kill him.

Why can't we nuke america and be done with it?
We could also assassinate the top tier people that run the trouble making machine but a nuke is simpler and sends a clear message. Like how MPAA and their fines calculated with a yet unknown secret magic formula. Putting people in jail for more years than a serial killer.

I wish the "freedom" fighting americans used their stock of weapons to kill these bastards.
#21. xomeryut - 03-04 21:38
Guys, that's not even funny. Using N. Korea for anything is indefensible.
#22. s1r1 - 03-04 21:42
I love it, great move.
#23. iamralph - 03-04 21:45
The Repbublic of Korea is South Korea, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is North Korea, while everything points to you meaning N. Korea, your post is confusing to people who actually know things.
#24. La_Digue - 03-04 21:47
Two things:

The "republic of Korea" is South Korea. You're talking about North Korea, the "democratic people's republic" (in name only, of course).

Also, this actually seems kind of in character for North Korea. They will do anything to be unlike the US, unlike the other "bad" countries. Weed is even legal there, of all places, probably just because the US started prohibition.
#25. focu - 03-04 21:50
grab that hand, Bay-Winston!!

but hope not the american dogs start a nuclear war over this.
#26. samsagan - 03-04 21:52
As a Korean myself (especially as a north and south hybrid) I approve of this!
#27. Suba23 - 03-04 21:54
I love you guys...Long live TPB !

Korea 1 - 0 USA
#29. Wislawa - 03-04 22:06
Stop fighting, North and South Korea.
You're both basically Chinese.
Ich bin Bruno the dove of peace....

North Korea FTW! I am from north korea and my country should be called "Neverland" coz its so cool. Also we have free internet and work. Never belive what you saw in TV, coz people here are living good. Cya niggers... i'm going to watch with my family some executions on the main square, and then i'm gonna watch Twilight Saga on my free 50'' new plasma TV, bye bitches.
#30. Be_Intrepid - 03-04 22:06
read this before you dare to compare the freedom of the US with that of north korea.

http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/8119297/Escape_from_Camp_14__One_Man_s_Remarkable_Odyssey_from_North_Kor

And another funny thing. I always the loads of seeders from the US not the much from north korea recently.
#31. DeeLee - 03-04 22:11
So this was the start of the 3th world war :)
#32. omnimodis - 03-04 22:19
While I am of the very strong belief that Americans today are about as "free" as goldfish inside an aquarium, let's not draw any parallels to the hypocrisy of American democracy to the absolutely disgusting tyranny by the Kim dictators in North Korea. Any of you stupid enough to praise North Korea for any fake signs of compromise or understanding ought to read a little about what exactly goes on inside North Korea. What really happens to you and to your family for generations if you inasmuch as question a policy. Oh and yes, comment sections....yeah they don't exist there...so keep on loving NK, none of you could endure it there for 24 hours.

#38. Martian14 - 03-04 22:59
NOT COOL!!!!!!
Shame on you TPB.

One thing is to fight greedy corporations....

Another thing is to ally with dictators and thugs!

What next? The Taliban, Al Qaeda, Iran???

Are you guys willing to drink the Kool-Aid??
#39. shazdi - 03-04 23:10
I understand the appeal of moving to North Korea, but I do not believe that moving to an oppressive state meets the ideal that The Pirate Bay was founded on, freedom. Is a country where simple freedoms are ignored, where a person has to choose between 28 state-sanctioned haircuts, the best place to relocate to? This site will only be visited by the North Korean elite, and by moving to North Korea simply add more fuel to the fire, providing the government with yet another example of their "progress" and yet another thing they can relentlessly flaunt. I see today as a sad day for The Pirate Bay, one of the greatest bastions of internet freedom, moving to a place where freedom has been renamed "Kim Jong-un". North Korea may have been the easy choice, but was it the right one?
#40. NearNebu - 03-04 23:10
OH YEAH, the next chapter
#41. Defarge - 03-04 23:10
Geopolitics make for strange bedfellows, but this is ridiculous. If you think that such an unconscionable abdication of principle does not threaten to deform and eventually derail your core values and mission, then you are damned fools.

You might think that you're using the DPRK as a tool for the greater good, but it will in fact be using you. And it will turn all of your good works into a pile of putrid pig shit. What good faith efforts has your new BFF undertaken in terms of extending your freedom-of-information principles to its slave labor force? The answer is clearly 'none.'

I honestly hope that someone has simply hacked your site and this is some sort of an epic troll or an early April Fools. Because the alternative is almost too horrific to contemplate.
#42. caesars3 - 03-04 23:11
I, for one, welcome our new democratic korean overlords.
#43. Jahmaan - 03-04 23:12
The enemy of my enemy is my friend... Well, if that's what it takes for freedom of information, allying with the most restrictive regime in the world, then so be it.
#44. redhatGizmo - 03-04 23:13
>It’s worth noting that the Korean connection is used to hide Pirate Bay’s true location. The cloud servers behind it are still believed to be hosted elsewhere in the world.

At-least now North Korea is good for something that's just epic.
#45. brixm - 03-04 23:19
I Hope you guys will continue fighting this Evil organisations and corporations , where money gains is everything , and they live with this copyrights all they life whitout doing nothing on expence of others inventions.
TPB provide so much knowledge to ordinary people, from Africa to Japan and Europe , people who cannot afford to give 20 dollars fro book or 1000 dollars for courses.
Knowledge in our small life is everything , and you guys from TPB are heroes of small poor people.
#46. Martian14 - 03-04 23:19
And if that is the path TPB chooses, I will abandon the ship and sail other seas...

This is a disgrace for the pirate community!
#47. Kapri25 - 03-04 23:22
Being an American I can honestly that I love my country but really hate my government. I live in a country that is supposed to espouse freedom but everywhere I turn the law is more in favor of corporations and the rich. Personally I have nothing against rich people but when they do the things that they are doing today it really bothers me. I am not allowed medical care but my money is supposed to pay for theirs? I would love to be able to live in another country that would be happy to train or educate me without any strings attached to become a better person but being a person kept in the poor class of America it will never happen. This country used to be about gaining the "American Dream" but that is becoming more and more of a dream in itself.
#48. Brognor - 03-04 23:25
I can understand why N. Korea does that, they want to fuck capitalism in any way possible, I can relate to that, I want to fuck capitalism too in any way possible, that doesn't make them libertarians though or that doesn't make me totalitarian. If someone has given me the opportunity to annihilate capitalism I'd take it, even if that someone was my next enemy. I am glad for that, TPB, there's a place in the world you can have a safe haven in, even if it's not a safe haven for it's citizens... (Oh and the irony made me laugh so hard)
#49. octubre - 03-04 23:26
North Korea is best Korea.
#50. tuscander - 03-04 23:43
Was I the only one who was confused as phuck when they read 'Republic of Korea' when really the post was referring to North Korea? Please correct this mistake!
#51. endre2714 - 03-04 23:49
Seriously? Are you moving to a country where people suffer, starve to death and eat each other? Home of hundreds of gulags?

And when some of you criticize rich people, the former leader of NK was the one who has over 40 palaces across the country, loved expensive brandy and luxury cars while the ordinary people had nothing and got the whole family killed for saying something against this.

TPB was always eager to support freedom of speech and now you're just selling yourself to the most hardcore dictatorship of the world? Congrats, let me get off at the next port pls.
#52. Defarge - 03-04 23:50
Oh man. Epic troll guys. But the sad thing is that this parody hits uncomfortably close to home. I'm looking at you, Julian Assange.

Congratulations NORTH KOREA´S GOVERNMENT, this country is really a safe bay for T.P.B.
Long life T.P.B. Korea + T.P.B. = Censorship Freedom
#54. jotunhammer - 03-04 23:51
Freedom in N. Korea, you got to be joking. This has to be a sad joke cause sooner or later if this is true then the Koreans will want to start dictating terms etc and then you are up shit creek without a paddle.
#55. Astralia - 03-04 23:55
Fake! Well trolled tho! https://rdns.im/the-pirate-bay-north-korean-hosting-no-its-fake

#57. Belzac - 03-05 00:05
This is arguably the most shocking and uh. Well to be honest, absolutely incredible piece of information I've heard in a long time. I have been with you every step of the way but never before have I been so utterly shocked. You are fucking ASTOUNDING.
LONG LIVE
THE PIRATE BAY
#58. xomeryut - 03-05 00:23
@Astralia

Yep. In fact, it's not only surreal for TPB to have an N. Korean host, it's impossible.
#59. jrhindo - 03-05 00:24
Most likely troll, tho it does raise he question of actual internet freedom in a the "Free" Western world. (If true then holy shit, lol, go for it!)
But what you TPB should do, is create themselves its own OUTER HEAVEN! Yes, find a way to be selfdependant, independent from outside laws and resources! And be free to share knowledge on the lands, the seas and our skies, to the galaxy, and beyond!
#60. whorepig - 03-05 00:40

#63. quentharry - 03-05 00:52
Guys, you just made a pretty big mistake.
#64. lamportyx - 03-05 01:01
Be Carefull whom you are dealing with you never know who the real enemy!
#65. THX1386 - 03-05 01:02
Obviously this is fake. Anybody who seriously believes that North Korea would host TPB is dreaming. North Korea A) Could not handle the amount of bandwidth that TPB would require and B) Would not allow 99 percent of the stuff present on the servers (porn, Western movies, etc).

It's a communist dictatorship with state run media, state controlled internet, etc.

This is a satire.
#66. Sch0ck3d - 03-05 01:23
I'm assuming this is a lol after doing more research into this and seeing the deliberate use of vague expressions in the press release. Nothing said they would do it. Now the fact that someone apparently has tracerouted the site back to a North Korean address, I haven't been able to replicate on my side, but it's either a clever hack or someone is making it up. All the articles I've read say nothing confirming or denying it. With the Bay though, I've learned to wait til the last minute before you can be sure of what's going to happen next.
#67. jarmoksk - 03-05 01:25
Is it 1st of april already?
#68. MVultra - 03-05 01:47
Everytime capitalism gives in to its flaws, crazy communists, hippies, "freedom fighters", totalitarians and fanatics in general start to make noise...

Dont disguise TPB's activity as an ideology because it is not.

TPB is a consumerist reaction to the abusive practices and prices of the companies, and to governments that rule favoring these same companies.

Although I reckon that moving TPB to North Korea is a smart move, based on the violent persecution practiced by companies and Police, North Korea is nothing more than a criminal State, that profits from slavering the local population.

I really hope its a joke, and I wish all the best to the admins of TPB.
#69. JetWhoreBattlefield - 03-05 01:49
lol @all comments
#70. slithium - 03-05 02:08
I hope this is a joke, otherwise this place is a giant piece of shit!
Anyone who even thinks ANYTHING good about North Korea is a total tool shit bag. Did you know the only people that live in the city of Pyongyang are those that have displayed an undying commitment to the regime, a regime that claims racial superiority over the rest of the worlds people, a regime that's people are starving to death and as a result the average height of a North Korean is a few inches lower than those in the South. A regime that says if you commit a crime not only are you sentenced to certain death in a labor camp but your entire family as well?

They have an entire city built on the DMZ to entice the South Koreans to cross over, yet not a single soul lives in that city because it is just that, a peice of propaganda.I have sat 6 kilometers from that horrible little country as they lobbed mortar shells into the south for no reason at all. So get off your "freedom" high horse.

Yeah, it better be a joke. Putting

Sweet Move! As a US Citizen, it's about time that someone put the ReBloodlicans and the DemoCrips in their place and give them the big f**k y*u! Tortuga now lies in the Republic of Korea! Weigh Anchor and set sail, the Pirate Bay lives on!
#72. KlMJONGUN - 03-05 02:31
This was funny and even got me for a half a second, but if you believe it's real you're absolutely retarded (as half the commenters on TPB are in general see: any torrent's "LOL HO DO U MOnT? WAT IS .rar???? PLZ SEED" type comments)

TPB is faking (or, "spoofing", for the technically minded out there) IMCP responses, they're not really in the DPRK. Even though I kind of wanted this to be real. ;__;

Go back to playing with your crayons now kids.

The Republic of Korea starve their people to death. It is one of the most evil and inhumane countries in the world run by psychotic madmen. I won't support PirateBay any more and I will find somewhere else. What a disappointment!

Maybe its just me here, but becoming friends with North Korea is like making a deal with the devil. You will regret it in the end.

ok its a good deal but this gonna be a(nother) reason to start a war O_O no please I love the humanity xD
#85. Ctuchik - 03-05 04:21
Oh for fuck sake, not even YOU can be so incredibly gullible as to believe that Kim Jong Un (it IS because of him personally that this has happened, IF it has happened) has allowed this out of the goodness of his fucking heart. There is one reason and ONLY one reason this for this. And it certainly isn't to help you misfits distribute porn and games. North Korea more likely wanted access to retarded peoples computers so they can use them to keep hacking Pentagon or other countries. Oh and guess what, they don't give a shit about your "integrity so they will guaranteed not hide the IP addresses...

That is, if this "press release" is actually true. I highly doubt it myself, but then again desperate people does retarded things.

And it's hard to imagine the "good" people at TPB getting much more desperate then this.... I mean, with the jail and the multi million dollar fine and all....

this site has changed so many countries and has fought so many oppositions and hostilities... but the spirit of free sharing burns bright... finally coming to rest ----of all places in N. Korea.... I take back anything bad i ever said about that country lol..... A salute to the Pirate Bay for sharing the costliest (most expensive), rare and the best with the neediest and the poorest .... Thank you TPB!!... you have reached more people than clean water...Now thats saying something isnt it??
#90. pechkin000 - 03-05 05:17
I can see how it would be a natural fit of convenience for both parties. Having said that I must say I am very conflicted about this. During the days of Cold War some businesses and some political parties accepted offers/deal/help from the Soviets and in the end they were the ones that looked weak and like the sell outs because in they end they were helping the Soviets to further their agenda, and agenda that included brutal suppression of their own people and harsh violations of human rights. I feel like this is a similar situation. Yes we want TPB to survive and yes we want to stick it to the US corporate interests and greed but is teaming up with a regime such as that of DPRK is truly a good solution? TPB was never about easy decisions I am just not sure if this is a way to go, even thought it does offer everything TPB need atm.
#91. bigfoot45 - 03-05 05:26
It's a hoax you fucking idiots.
#92. LD1ne - 03-05 05:29
yo ya know i normally don't disagree with anything you do TPB but come on North Korea? you really think this is a good idea? sure they might be offering you a place to land but really have things gotten so bad you have to relocate to a country that is about to declare war on the USA and shoot nuclear missiles this way? has it gotten that hard that you have to move to a country that is pretty much totally dark at night? i think this is a bad move...
#93. EndGulags - 03-05 05:45
Wow, I always said people who advocate piracy are evil. I always said these people are anti-western, anti-capitalist nihilists. I told you the pirate party are dangerous criminals seeking to legalize theft.

But now it turns out on top of wanting to bankrupt private entertainment companies these people don't even have scruples about associating with the most cruel totalitarian military dictatorship on the planet.

Really, how fucking low can you sink? Licking the boots of a murderous kleptocratic mafia clan. Good job. What a bunch of cretins, I really wish to see fat pigs like Kim Dotcom and Kim Jong-un suffer.

BY THE WAY, "Republic of Korea" refers to SOUTH KOREA. Democratic People's Republic of Korea refers to North Korea.
#94. LazarheaD - 03-05 05:47
Kim Jong Un FTW!
#95. Tensoku - 03-05 06:07
USA cries "Freedom", but, they really don't know what's that, people is indoctrinated to believe those things.

I liked what you said, and yes, it will be good if you can influence North Korea and their authorities.
#96. IoWaSDiA - 03-05 07:06
"Kim Jong Bay" is trying to compete with Dennis Rodman for dumbest pro-N Korea p.r. move of the week.
#97. Verdicat - 03-05 07:17
If the Bay is running anything in N Korea, then we are out. Im really going to miss ebooks and audiobooks and some music, not the crappy blockbusters so much tho.
I would prefer to purchase content, or do without it, rather than know a single packet of mine was helped along by that insane, inhuman, cruel dictatorship.
I dont mind stealing content, but my moral line in the sand is here.
Shame on you TPB if this really is true.
Regards
#98. simolino - 03-05 07:26
I just wanted to point out that the actual name is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) not The Republic of Korea (South Korea). Just to avoid any confusion XD
#99. heytbone - 03-05 08:34
Wow, I like to think positively about change. But how can we justify profiting from to the refusal of human rights to 24million North Koreans?

If it is a hoax, rather than being another in joke, laugh and back slapping moment for the "well off avante guarde techno elitist IT generation", I hope you advocate bone fide for the suffering people.

Without that, this is not a protest for rights, its a placebo.

So you're telling me that TPB was hosted by one country, full of humans who share certain views on how to live, and now it hosted by ANOTHER COUNTRY, FULL OF HUMANS WHO SHARE DIFFERENT VIEWS OF HOW TO LIVE!?!?! Get right out of town. This is too much to take. My life will never be the same.
#102. xaocine - 03-05 09:08
It's funny because none of you knows what happens in north korea...
But between koreans getting their freedom massacred and me downloading, i guess it's a fair sacrifice

I hope this is just a joke, otherwise i must say YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, TPB! North Korea isn't a country to play with, this is serious, this is REAL COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP, they are fucked in the head!

Kim Jong Un is a nasty motherfucker!
#106. aky08 - 03-05 10:07

#109. pablozfzw - 03-05 10:12
You are so wrong...

I lived in communist dictatorship country, my parents lived in such a country, and i would never, ever wish anyone to live in country like this.

This regime, i murdering it's own people, killing inicent people, and you dare to say that they are ok, coz they gave you "internet asylum", that they are opening, did history do not give you any hint about how cinical they moves are, that they will never change...

This kids from west... mad...
#110. theeBird - 03-05 10:32
WTF?! North Korea and freedom? Are you kidding me? North Korea's people are dying of starvation because of their leaders lust of power. In fact DPRK is the worst and the most oppressive government in the modern age! They have no obligation to freedom. You don't know what are you doing.
#111. ithinkthereforeimeow - 03-05 10:35
the republic of korea is SOUTH korea...
#112. FoxFire2012 - 03-05 10:50
For all the folks saying stuff about N.K.

I don't know how much you know considering there's a LOT of leaks confirming that North Korea is in a state of slow change, economic but nonetheless it is change. Kim Jong Un is inexperienced in politics but at least he's not like Kin Jong Il... something's changing. It'd be worse if his militant brother was in power!

North Korea has a bad, bad history and reputation, but even then, there is a glimmer of hope and change, and at times, we must dig through the dirt to find and see this change for ourselves. Just give it time, for it is too early to tell what revolutionary things we might hear from N.K.

If this move to N.K. from TPB is legit, then they are going in the right direction: NK is not dictating content, just hosting the site's cloud services, according to a source, they are using NK's network to hide TPB's true location, in which the western world can't track nor trace past the Star-NK network!

TPB is not going to be hosted by NK, but the governme
#113. Diego2389 - 03-05 10:55
i hope is not real

everybody seems to have an opinion about this, it is bad or it is good, well i cant, i dont know, how can i know what´s happening for real in that country?

all i can say is that im sure there are different ways to make this work

i think it is time to start a revolution, a real one, against the U.S.

i want the world to step up and put an end to the U.S., they´ve gone too far and nobody seems to say anything against it, and a lot of people look at them first before answering what is right or not.

the only thing that goes against the U.S. is terrorism, and thats bad, is like going from bad to worse.

Is time that common people like you and i start taking control of our lives, and not let a few corrupted people decide whats best for us

I defend TPB, i dont approve this move, as i said, there must be another way
#114. cookitron - 03-05 11:08
For God's sake people, have you heard yourselves? Why are you calling it freedom of information/speech, it's theft pure and simple. How would you feel if after you'd built a house people came along a removed the bricks one by one until you had fuck all left? People want earn money for the stuff they create and you maybe surprised to know this isn't a new concept, it has been going on for thousands of years. So you can justify theft for a cause if you wish but it's still theft. I'm a thief, your a thief, it's as simple as that!
#115. duntan123 - 03-05 11:14
An alliance with North Korea will be the death of your political movements chance of changing/fighting laws in the west.
#116. beatmunch - 03-05 11:23
Accepting help from north korea? TPB who claim to be the defenders of freedom of speech? You are just a bunch of hipocrits! And explaining this with 'common enemy' argument is just wrong. These guys are the ICON OF CENSORSHIP! Don't do this.
#117. beatmunch - 03-05 11:26
It makes no sense. It must be a joke or clever trolling.
#118. AndyCanfield - 03-05 12:29

Anyway, the farther from america in legal sense, the better

WELL DONE HACK BOYS. tracert wasn't resolving the path to TPB beyond one box in Germany. I just assumed it was because of the firewall into North Korea or something stupid like that. I didn't even think to run a layer 4 trace route. It didn't make sense. I mean the p0rN alone would've made Kim not want to host the Bay. Good on ya guys, haven't seen anything like that from you in years. I will now take down my "keep the bay out of gangham style" backlash group.
#125. piliper - 03-05 21:51
BULLSHIT. You've taken this decision in order to avoid legal actions against your website in other countries, but not because you think it's right. If the people of North Korea could use your services, that would be something. But don't come speaking about freedom when you negociate with the most locked country in the world.
#126. Cuthooloo - 03-06 03:02
being a native american I can tell you it's not easy living here either. the cops always up you're ass, half the people are brainwashed by the television, about a quarter of the people are homeland security, and the ones that are left are powerless to change anything. it's not that all of the people in the states are assholes. it's the government. we the people are being slowly enslaved to the powers that be.
#127. StuckInThePast - 03-06 04:32
In response to the early april fools joke. I cant believe some of you would actually get your undies in a bunch if TPB really was routed through NK. Dont you people know that in war there are sacrafices and also that war is hell. If your going to get all butthurt over a practical joke then get off at next port because nobodys stopping you. We fellow pirates and kopimists will just stay on the TPB ship and sail onwards! Some ppl need to wake up from fantasy island and see the reality that if you are with us then you are in it for the long haul. What sickens me is that some of you ppl would rather it be a game of wack of mole then have the TPB protected. If your not willing to go to extreme measures then I would just ask myself am I really serious about freedom of information.

I believe that the whole idea of a perfect pirate haven is probably just a fantasy dream but its ppl like us pirates and kopimists and all the ppl that help run TPB that keep giving me hope that this dream just like martin luther king
#128. Tensoku - 03-06 07:54
If somebody is from USA, you probably should care
more about the things your own country is doing,
not only to you, even to other countries.
BTW, you shouldn't use your double standards everyday, 24/7.
That works in your country, not in the internet.
